More from my home....

Our home is a studio house much like a studio apartment,  it is simple and warm and full of love.  Love of family, love of my spouse and love for what I do, design.
Our table for two, the base is a Hendredon piece and the top was made for me by my husband.  A grey linen textile, which I bought at a Paris Flea Market, drapes across it.  Naturally shed antlers are another of my husband's finds.  Like a little boy he loves to bring home found objects from his excursions.  Crystal candle sticks and a silver serving tray add the feminine details.  The best rooms, to my eye, always mix the masculine with the feminine.
We have done nothing with the floors which is a montage of several types. Could be worse though, we did rip out hunter green carpeting at move in.
Shades of grey always work to create a serene, and warm environment.  My absolute favorite.
The card is an anniversary card from my husband's Mom (love her), a little boy in his dingy kissing a girl.  Later I'll post the photo I have of Craig at eight years of age in his first boat, a dingy .
My home is full of photographs.   Here is my Grandmother Amalia.
The empty nest...is real simple.

The Fourth of July in Cayucos

Subtle Greys and Navy
Stars and Stripes
The Shop was ready for this 4th of July.   I dressed it as everyone was dressed in celebration of our Country's Birthday.  There's nothing like a parade in a small town like Cayucos it shows a town's pride and it's sense of humor.  My favorite float:  the  men's synchronized swimmers!
And all the children dressed in their red, white and blue.
The town starts setting up their folding chairs on the parade route down Ocean Avenue two day before... love it!
